Tandberg MPS202 vJ3.3 installed with Border Controller vQ6.0 using Tandberg Management Suite v11.7 and Tandberg Gatekeeper N5.1

Tested June 4, 2008

 

Conference setup: Adhoc, everything set to auto

Other Notes/Issues: Polycom VSX7000s see a fast flash full screen of themselves occasionally

All of these units are not registered to a gatekeeper or on the same network as the MCU unless otherwise specified.

As a general rule of thumb, if a unit is registered to a gatekeeper, or if it's a Tandberg it has to use the entry point.

   Can dial with remote access (web controlling) and extension@IP but doesn't negotiate properly resulting in a black screen.  
Tandberg MCU vJ4.0, conference extension Can't dial IP and conference number; tried a bunch of ways with # and @ and extensions, plus the extension box on the MCU.
   receiving quality degraded, more pixelation and freezing, but no packet loss reported on the endpoint.

Dial IP of the border controller entry point. Used a Polycom VSX 7000 to dial #,#,5, conference extension, # and got in. 

 

9/26/08 Try IP address in the IP field; and ,,,confID# in the DTMF field. - JL
VTEL Galaxy v2.1 Can't do DTMF or # or * or anything else.  
Type the IP address. Then hold a telephone up to the Vtel microphone and press the DTMF tones for the conference.
